Minimum Qualifications
Education A Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources Administration, Public Administration or related field, and 10 years human resources management experience required; strategic, talent management highly preferred; certification in Human Resources preferred.
Experience

  • 10 years of progressively responsible leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Experience working with the USM Schools, a higher education institution or State of Maryland is a plus.

This CHRO will be leading the strategic vision of the team and develop and implement a plan of action to move us from Good to Great. CHRO is a high-level executive responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of the entire human resources function within an organization. The CHRO plays a pivotal role in shaping BlueLinx’s culture, talent management and overall human capital strategy. BlueLinx is a building material provider that has 61 Branches throughout the United States with approximately 2,300 employees and revenue more than four billion dollars. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Required from an accredited University: Masters Preferred.
  • 12+ years’ experience in Human Resources leadership roles, with a proven track record of success.
  • Generalist Background. With overseeing all the Human Resource function, BlueLinx believes a person that has a diverse background is the best fit for this role.
  • Strong comfort in Change Management and has a history of implementing advanced processes and tools for success.
  • Communication skills both in writing and verbal – will constantly working with the BlueLinx Leadership team.
  • Technical savvy – BlueLinx HRIS is DayForce and experience with DayForce is a nice to have.
  • Comfortable leading a team of 20-25 HR Professionals.
