Job Summary and Qualifications

As Vice President of Human Resources you will provide strategic human resources and talent guidance and recommendations to the executive team at an HCA facility. You will create the desired workplace culture which includes an engaged and productive workforce through HCA’s policies, programs, and practices.

What you will do in this role:

  • Lead the facility HR team to deliver strategic and operational HR support within the facility
  • Partner with the executive leadership team to analyze and prioritize the critical business challenges faced by the organization.

What qualifications you will need:

The HR Manager is a high-impact role that provides HR Business Partner support for the Technology and Data & Analytics teams, as well as Strategy and M&A, within Fortune Brands Innovations. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Serve as an associate advocate, internal consultant, and business partner with all levels of technology management on human resources issues. Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Diagnose problems, as well as identify and drive creative and appropriate solutions, using analytical capabilities and the ability to influence business leaders with data-driven recommendations.
  • Supports organizational design and organizational effectiveness within the technology and data organizations to ensure the function is operating optimally.
  • Drives change management by developing and implementing solutions to organizational changes as well as leading and coaching others through change.
  • Partner closely with HR COEs and other HRBPs across the organization to develop and drive support of ongoing HR transformation.
  • Works with people managers and associates on employee relations issues and development actions. Conducts investigations, supports leaders in developing performance improvement plans and provides timely coaching to support performance and our culture and values.
  • Partners with talent acquisition and leaders on staffing for the technology functions including interviewing support, hiring decision support, and developing offers.
  • Collaborates with leaders in developing onboarding plans to ensure a successful 30-60-90-day approach and thoughtful introduction to the organization, team and role.
  • Manages the exit process by reviewing exit interviews and acting on the feedback back to the manager and leader.
  • Plans and executes organization initiatives and processes including engagement survey, annual HR processes such as merit, bonus, and performance, planning and other processes and compliance initiatives.
  • Comply with all legal and governmental requirements to include OFCCP/AAP, EEO, ADA, Veterans, FMLA and Worker’s Compensation.
  • Manages training & career development within the technology organization including building future-state rotational programs, deploying core internship/co-op programs and other talent programming to support talent across the technology function.
  • Plays a key role in succession planning and organization talent reviews.
  • Role may include support of other departments over time.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Degree in HR, Business, or relevant field preferred)
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of senior HR Business Partner experience supporting technology teams or in a highly matrixed, global environment. This experience should include organizational design and development, talent initiatives, change management and building trusted partnerships with VP and Director level leaders.

Overview

  • Local deployment support of HR programs (ex. Working with Finance to implement new payroll methods locally, launching new CoE program, others).
  • Provide regional benefits support when needed
  • Provide guidance and support to local managers on performance management with the aim of preventing employee disputes.
  • Provide support for on-site audit/compliance reviews when necessary (regulatory/legal requirements). Comply with local laws related to ensuring a positive, non-discriminatory and safe work environment, and local union or work council requirements. These changes may include reviewing policies, procedures, handbooks and employment documents
  • Provide support as required for any company-wide changes or programs, such as employee development, restructuring, support HRBPs with org design and change management efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree within Human Resources, Business, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ human resources experience, including direct, hands-on experience in managing employment issues.
  • Experience working with global matrixed teams and software/services is strongly preferred.

Requirements

Salary and Benefits:

Salary range: $80,000 to $90,000

Insurance: Medical, Vision, Dental; Basic Life, AD& D, and Long-Term Disability; Health Care FSA; and Dependent Care FSA may be available to employees, subject to the terms of the applicable benefit plan.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • At least 3 years of HR experience, a certification in a Business or Human Resources-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred experience in benefit administration.
  • Minimum of 2 years of human resources experience.
  • Medium to advanced skill level in Excel, including filtering, vlookups, and/or pivot tables.
  • Experience in the Mining industry is considered an asset.

Certificate(s), License(s), Registration(s)

  • HRCI/SHRM HR Certification highly preferred

SUPERVISES: Volunteers and Interns / Admin Staff

STATUS: Exempt

SCHEDULE: Full-Time

FUNCTION: The HR Coordinator will ensure that all human resource (HR) operations are carried out smoothly and effectively. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for developing HR strategies for the Kroc Center and providing sound advice to the Business Administrator and Kroc Administrators on all related subjects. The goal is to ensure that all HR needs of the company are being met and are aligned with all business objectives.

Duties

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and coordinates all Human Resource functions for the Dayton Area Command
  • Oversees all personnel practices including hiring, disciplining, and terminating and general HR support, under the direction of and coordination with the Business Administrator and Kroc Administrators.

 Hiring

  • Recruit qualified candidates using internal/external job boards for all open positions at the Kroc Center
  • Complete state background checks
  • Present qualified candidates to the department Managers for their review
  • Schedule and facilitate all interviews
  • Handle follow up correspondence to candidates
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local recruiting agencies
  • Develop and deploy “on boarding” process for all newly hired employees

 Disciplinary Actions/Terminations

  • Provides coaching, counseling, and guidance to all supervisors to address all disciplinary actions
  • Coordinate with DHQ all steps leading up to terminations
  • Ensure that all TSA policies and procedures are being adhered to by all
  • Creates job descriptions for new positions and submits all Conceptual Approval forms to DHQ
  • Administers all Federal Medical Leave Act requests and Short-Term Disability Requests locally. Coordinates all paperwork with DHQ.
  • Maintain all paper employee files as well as a variety of employee databases: TSA, Manpower, MVR, Training, Certifications
  • Ensures compliance with I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits all I-9 Forms
  • Prepare monthly status report for Admin area
  • Prepare and submit various annual reports to DHQ as requested.
  • Stay apprised and up to date with federal, state, and local Department of Labor laws, rules, guidelines.
  • Responsible for the dissemination of personnel information as directed by The Salvation Army
  • Create and maintain local Policy and Procedures Manual adhering to all TSA guidelines, making this available to all employees
  • Coordinate all employee communications for Business Manager and Kroc Administrators
  • Coordinate the annual employee benefits enrollment period as well as any updates throughout the year.
  • Coordinates and is responsible to see that all personnel evaluations/reviews are conducted as prescribed by The Salvation Army personnel practices
  • Annually review all job descriptions with Department Managers to ensure each position is accurately reflected in the requirements
  • Assist all Supervisors and Department Managers in the completion of the annual reviews and all interim reviews
  • Process all required TSA documentation in a timely manner.
  • Creates and maintains a salary grid for all positions at the Kroc Center
  • Develop and administer leadership training, professional development and job skill training as needed
  • Implement Five Shield Supervisor Training Program
  • Implement Five Shield Staff Training Program
  • Coordinate all mandatory training sessions to include KeepSafe and all other training and certifications
  • Reviews and obtains Business Administrator’s approval of all Time Away Requests.
  • Maintains annual time away calendar for each business unit
  • Enters all time exceptions into CCMS system
  • Reviews all time entries for errors each pay period
  • Provide HR support for all employees in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Acts as an employee relations specialist
  • Project Supervisor – at times will be put in charge of the implementation of various specific major projects – during these projects, will be in charge of other staff that they are not normally in charge of, this could include office managers, marketing personnel, etc.
  • Assists Business Administrator in the areas of fundraising as directed
  • Will assist with a variety of large and campus wide events
  • Assist with the Red Kettle program during the months of November and December.
  • All other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate by the Business Administrator and or the Dayton Area Kroc Center Administrator
  • Attend group meetings such as Logistic and Executive
